The clinician chooses the notes
My contributionQualitative findingCapability: Collaborate
An admission can hold dozens of notes, and most repeat each other.

What was difficult
Feeding every note gives the model more to get wrong and takes longer.
Evidence at the time
On the test encounter, 11 of 73 notes held what the summary needed.
Alternatives considered
- Feed all 73 notes automatically: no effort for the clinician, but slower and worse in testing.
Selected direction and trade-off
Notes are grouped by type with a live count. The clinician picks the inputs, so they own them.
Trade-off. One more step before the draft, in exchange for inputs the clinician stands behind.
Who did what. To confirm What I did, who set or approved the rule, and what engineering built.
Accessibility
Generate stays disabled until a note is ticked, and the footer states the count and estimated time in words. These are design checks.
Result and status
Qualitative finding
In testing, a few main notes carried the whole story.
Open question: whether clinicians select notes consistently across departments.
